Terms and Conditions

The rules for using this site, and what happens when you request a quote.

Last updated:

Before you read

This text is a good-faith description of how this website works and how DNAcrílicos operates. It is not legal advice. Before it is treated as final it should be reviewed by a lawyer, and every point marked TODO-VERIFY has to be confirmed and filled in.

1. Who we are

This site belongs to DNAcrílicos, an acrylics workshop in Portugal.

  • Address: Rua Padre Ângelo Firmino da Silva 12A
  • Postal code and locality: 2800-017 Almada
  • Tax number (NIF): 206418647
  • Email: dnacrilicos2020@gmail.com
  • Phone: +351 916 954 090

2. What this site does, and what it does not

The site shows the work of DNAcrílicos and lets you request a quote for a bespoke piece.

The site sells nothing online, takes no payments and has no user accounts. The shop announced as being in preparation has not opened yet. When it does, these terms will be updated with the information distance selling requires by law, before the first order is possible.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.

3. A quote request is not an order

Submitting the form is a request for a proposal. It is not an order and it binds neither side.

  • Once the request arrives, DNAcrílicos reviews it and replies with a proposal or with questions. The target stated on the site, a reply within 48 working hours, is a service goal and not a guaranteed deadline.
  • A contract exists only once the written proposal, the quote, is accepted. Prices, deadlines, materials, finishes and payment terms are the ones written in that quote, not ones inferred from this site.
  • DNAcrílicos may decline a request, in particular where it is not technically feasible, where the information received is not enough to produce the piece, or where the work requested would break the law or infringe third-party rights.

4. The information you send us

By submitting the form, you confirm the following:

  • The contact details you give are yours, or you are authorised to use them.
  • If you share a link to images, drawings or files, you hold the rights needed to share them with us and to have the piece produced from them.
  • The description you write is truthful and sufficient for its purpose.

5. Your drawings stay yours

The drawings, files and specifications you send remain yours. We use them only to quote and to produce what you asked for.

Please do not send confidential information through this form unless it is needed for the quote. If the project calls for formal confidentiality, say so in the request and we will handle it separately, in writing.

6. Site content

The text, images, photographs of work, brand and logo on this site belong to DNAcrílicos or are used with permission. You may read them and share the page addresses. You may not reproduce them for commercial use without written permission.

The photographs show work already produced, as examples. Every piece is made to measure, so dimensions, finishes, thicknesses and colour may differ from what you see in the images. What counts is what the accepted quote says.

7. Site availability

We do what we can to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee continuous or error-free operation. The site may be unavailable due to maintenance, a fault, or a limitation of the services behind it.

The signal that your request arrived is the confirmation shown on screen after you send it, with the request reference. If that confirmation does not appear, the request may not have been recorded: contact us by phone or email. Whether a confirmation email is also sent depends on how the email service is configured and may not happen, so the absence of that email does not by itself mean the request was lost. We are not liable for losses arising from a request that fails to reach us for technical reasons, nor for the site being temporarily unavailable.

8. Links to third-party services

The site links to services we do not control: the Google Maps map on the Contact page and the WhatsApp button. Those services have their own rules, which you should read. See also the Cookie Policy.

9. If you are a consumer

The mandatory consumer protection rules of Portuguese law apply, and these terms neither set them aside nor limit them.

Bespoke pieces are produced to your specifications, which carries its own legal consequences, in particular for the right of withdrawal. The specific conditions are stated in the quote you receive, before you accept it.

You may file a complaint through the Portuguese electronic complaints book at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.

Alternative consumer dispute resolution body you may turn to, by territory: Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo de Lisboa, Rua dos Douradores 112, 2.º and 3.º, 1100-207 Lisbon, Portugal, telephone +351 218 807 030, www.centroarbitragemlisboa.pt. That centre covers the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, which includes the municipality of Almada, for disputes up to EUR 5,000. DNAcrílicos has not adhered to this or to any other alternative dispute resolution body, and is therefore not bound to submit to its decision; naming the competent body is required by article 18 of Portuguese Law 144/2015. The official register of bodies is at www.consumidor.gov.pt.

10. Privacy

How we handle the data you send is described in the Privacy Policy, and what the site stores on your device is described in the Cookie Policy. Both form part of these terms.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules that apply to consumers.

These terms may be updated. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the last-updated date shown at the top.
