What this site stores on your device, what it does not store, and why you will not see a cookie banner here.

Before you read
This text is a good-faith description of how this website actually works, checked against the code that runs it. It is not legal advice. Before it is treated as final it should be reviewed by a lawyer or a data protection specialist.
1. The short version
This site uses no analytics, advertising or social network cookies. There is no Google Analytics or equivalent, no advertising pixels, and we do not follow you from page to page.
That is why you will not find a consent window here: the only cookie the site writes is strictly necessary to give you what you asked for, and the law does not require consent in that case. There is one exception worth knowing about, the map on the Contact page, explained in point 4.
2. The cookie this site writes
There is exactly one:
- NEXT_LOCALE: stores the language you chose, Portuguese or English, so the choice sticks as you browse. It is written by the site itself, when you switch language or when the page language does not match your browser's preferred language. It holds no personal data and no visitor identifier.
- Lifetime of NEXT_LOCALE: it is a session cookie with no expiry set, so it disappears when you close the browser. It is only ever sent to this site (SameSite=Lax).
3. Things stored on your device that are not cookies
So that the site opens quickly and can still show pages you have already visited on a weak connection or with no connection at all, your browser installs a small helper program (a service worker) and keeps copies of pages, images and fonts in a browser area called Cache Storage.
That is not a cookie, it identifies nobody, and none of it is sent to us: it stays on your device. You can clear all of it at any time from your browser settings, under clearing site data.
The workshop's private area, used by the people who work there, has its own authentication cookies, needed for the login. They are not written for someone who is only visiting the public site.
4. Third-party content: the Google map
The Contact page embeds a Google Maps map. When you open that page your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and may write their own cookies, outside our control and subject to Google's own rules.
This happens on the Contact page only. Every other page on the site, including this one, loads nothing from third parties.
An open point, stated plainly: today the map loads without asking you first, and that choice is being reconsidered. Until it changes, if you want to avoid the connection simply do not open the Contact page: the address, phone and email are also in the footer of every page.
5. How to stay in control
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, and most browsers let you do it site by site.
If you block the language cookie the site still works: it just stops remembering your choice between Portuguese and English.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever start using other cookies, or embedding other third-party content, this page is updated before that happens and the date at the top changes with it.
